Movement-integrated learning for regulation, engagement and access to learning

WHEAL™ For Therapy

For Therapy

Purposeful movement during therapeutic activities.

Therapy works best when children feel regulated enough to engage.

For some children, sitting still can make participation more difficult. They may become restless, distracted, overwhelmed or disengaged because their body is searching for movement.

WHEAL is a movement-integrated workstation designed to support regulation, engagement and participation within therapeutic environments.

Rather than asking children to stop moving in order to engage, WHEAL allows movement and therapy to happen together.

Regulation first.

Many therapeutic approaches recognise that regulation often comes before learning, communication and participation.

A child who feels dysregulated may find it difficult to follow instructions, process information, communicate effectively or remain engaged throughout a session.

WHEAL provides gentle, repetitive movement while therapeutic activities continue.

A therapeutic environment designed around the child.

Every child regulates differently.

Some children need movement to think. Some need movement to communicate. Some need movement to feel calm enough to participate.

WHEAL helps create environments that recognise and accommodate those differences.

Suitable across multiple disciplines.

Occupational Therapy

Supports sensory regulation and engagement during activities.

Educational Psychology

Provides a practical tool during assessments, interventions and therapeutic conversations.

Speech & Language Therapy

Allows communication activities and movement to happen simultaneously.

Counselling & Emotional Wellbeing

Offers an alternative to traditional seated conversations.

Movement. Regulation. Participation.
